Variation of The Properties of Matter Based on Its Physical State
Fluids
Materials that have the property of fluidity, and take the shape of the container that contains them.

Fluidity
The ability of fluids to flow easily.

Compressibility
The possibility of decreasing the volume of gases by increasing the pressure exerted on them.

Diffusion
The movement of the particles of matter from a region of high concentration to a region of low concentration.

The Assumptions of the Particle theory of Matter
❶ Matter is composed of very small particles that are not visible to the naked eye. ❷ The particles of a single type of matter (the same substance) are identical, but they differ from one substance to another. ❸ The particles of any substance store potential energy due to the existence of attraction forces between them.
❹ There are spaces between the particles of any substance called interparticle spaces, which vary depending on the physical state of this substance. ❺ The particles of any substance have kinetic energy because they are in a state of continuous motion in straight lines. ❻ The way of movement and the speed of the particles differ, based on the physical state of the substance.
Brownian motion
The random motion of relatively large particles suspended in a fluid in all directions, as a result of their continuous collisions with the molecules of the fluid.

Plasma state
The fourth state of matter, in which the gas becomes a mixture of positively charged ions and negatively charged free electrons.
