Yes I can finally tell the story of the crashed drone. On my first full morning, and on my last battery, I ran my drone out of power. I had a super struggle with offshore winds and was at first grateful to just get over the dune it crashed into. 99.99% of the flight it was over water. I quickly realized that my drone had suffered fatal damage to the Gimbal mechanism and one of the four motors. Heartbroken for a moment as drone footage of surf and sites was to be a big part of my trip. I went surfing and didn't think of the drone till three mornings later.
I decided that maybe I had nothing to lose if I took the drone apart. I do have experience taking phones, laptops and computers apart so I went for the operation. With nothing more than a butterknife, mini phillips screwdriver, cleaning fluid, razor blade, duct tape and superglue, I fixed that motherfucker better than it came from DJI. Fuck you very much DJI!! I have other shitty DJI stories to tell later from Preu.
