Delhi Police has launched its biggest cybercrime crackdown under Operation CyHawk, targeting fake call centres, money-mule networks and digital fraud syndicates operating across the city. After a month of intensive data analysis with I4C (MHA), police conducted coordinated raids in multiple districts, detaining 4,317 suspects and arresting 877 cyber criminals. Around ₹1,000 crore in fraud transactions were traced, 360 new FIRs were registered, and several major scams—including job fraud, bank fraud and tech-support scams—were busted. Large quantities of digital devices, bank cards and registers were seized. Delhi Police said cyber criminals will no longer find the city safe. They also issued an advisory urging people not to share OTP, PIN, CVV or bank details, avoid searching customer-care numbers on Google, and use two-factor authentication. Citizens are advised to report any fraud attempt immediately on helpline 1930.
