Patti's new CD is entitled "Sound Advice" and it drops January 25th from Shanachie Records. "Lean On Me" is actually featured on the CD.
I shot this in one take when I was at the door, leaving the Cafe Carlyle for Quincy Jones' birthday, when Patti got up on the stage, I started shooting, it still give me chills.
Grammy Winner Patti Austin sings "Lean on Me" at a birthday party for her Godfather, the legendary Quincy Jones, at the Cafe Carlyle on his 75th birthday. Bill Withers' "Lean On Me", was arranged by Greg Phillingaines who is also playing piano.
