Located on the River Wensum in the north of Norfolk is where you'll find the market town of Fakenham, some 25 miles from Norwich. In the Domesday Book, the town was registered as only having 150 residents, but these days that number is over 7,500. Having been granted its charter as a market town in 1250, a market is still held in the same place every Thursday.
According to a recent Country Life survey, Fakenham has been voted one of the top ten places in the Uk to live. With Kinnertons chocolate factory employing some 700 people as well as thriving local businesses, it is a great little town.
