On June 10th 2015 I cashed in a June 1985 EE Savings Bond. Here are my findings...
The bond cost $25 (half of face value) in 1985
After interest for 30 years I received $115.32
In 1985 25 dollars has the buying power that 11.37 has today.
115.32 in 1985 has the buying power of 52.44. Therefor the total capital has doubled.
