Special Bus Introduced for train passengers between Chennai Beach - Tambaram route to reduce congestion in peak hours by Southern Railway as suburban train service has been reduced due to station redevelopment work in Chennai Egmore station
This special Bus service operates from Chennai Beach station in the evening and from Tambaram end in morning time. To travel in this bus you need a valid train ticket or season ticket .
I bought train ticket Chennai Beach to Tambaram . Ticket fare Rs 10. Using this ticket i travelled in this special Bus from Chennai Beach station to Tambaram. This special Bus starts from Chennai Beach railway station.
Railway ticket checker too travel in this special Bus. He will check your ticket . The general public will not be allowed to travel in this special Bus. Only normal train ticket ( Local suburban train ticket ) and season ticket passengers allowed to travel in this Bus.
With seven frequency this special Bus operates from Chennai Beach station in evening peak hours time ( 5 pm to 7.20 pm ) . During my journey this special Bus starts from 5 pm at Chennai Beach station and reaches Tambaram at 6.40 pm.
A total of around 10 passengers traveled during my journey.
