How to build a 6 meter 1/4 wave ground plane antenna.
The vertical radiator is 54" from top to bottom of base of SO239. The actual vertical rod is about 53 1/2" long and the SO230 makes up the last 1/2"
The ground radial is 55 1/2" long from the end to the 45 deg bend. From the bend to the end where the U-clamp holds it down is another 2" So the whole rod is 57 1/2 " long.
This gave me a center resident frequency of 52MZ.
