Описание: In the sacred pages of the Qur’an, Surah Yusuf stands as a masterpiece of divine storytelling — a tale of beauty, patience, betrayal, power, and forgiveness. Allah Himself calls it “Ahsan al-Qasas” — the best of stories. It takes us on a journey from the innocence of a young boy to the wisdom of a ruler, from the darkness of a well to the light of a throne, from separation to reunion. Every twist in this surah is a reminder: Allah’s plan is always greater than the pain we feel.

Important Ayahs (Arabic) & Translation:
إِذْ قَالَ يُوسُفُ لِأَبِيهِ يَا أَبَتِ إِنِّي رَأَيْتُ أَحَدَ عَشَرَ كَوْكَبًا وَالشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ رَأَيْتُهُمْ لِي سَاجِدِينَ
"When Yusuf said to his father: ‘O my father, indeed I saw [in a dream] eleven stars and the sun and the moon; I saw them prostrating to me.’"

Roman Urdu:
"Jab Yusuf ne apne walid se kaha: Aye mere walid, maine dekha ke gyarah sitare, sooraj aur chaand mujhe sajda kar rahe hain."

وَأَلْقُوهُ فِي غَيَابَتِ الْجُبِّ
"And throw him into the bottom of the well..."
Roman Urdu:
"Use koon ke andhere tale phenko."

وَقَالَ الَّذِي اشْتَرَاهُ مِنْ مِصْرَ لِامْرَأَتِهِ أَكْرِمِي مَثْوَاهُ
"And the one from Egypt who bought him said to his wife: ‘Make his stay honourable.’"

Roman Urdu:
"Jo Misr ka aadmi usay khareed laaya, usne apni biwi se kaha: Iska rehana izzatdaar banao."

قَالَ مَعَاذَ اللَّهِ إِنَّهُ رَبِّي أَحْسَنَ مَثْوَايَ
"He said: ‘I seek refuge in Allah! Indeed, my master has treated me well.’"

Roman Urdu:
"Usne kaha: Main Allah ki panah leta hoon! Mere aaqa ne mera rehana acha banaya."

فَصَبْرٌ جَمِيلٌ وَاللَّهُ الْمُسْتَعَانُ
"So patience is most fitting. And Allah is the One whose help is sought."

Roman Urdu:
"Pas khoobsurat sabr hi behtar hai. Aur Allah hi madadgar hai."

قَالَ لَا تَثْرِيبَ عَلَيْكُمُ الْيَوْمَ
"He said: ‘No blame will there be upon you today.’"

Roman Urdu:
"Aaj tum par koi malamat nahi."

Summary of the Surah (Simple Flow):
Dream: Young Yusuf sees a dream of 11 stars, sun, and moon bowing to him.
Jealousy: His brothers become envious and plot to get rid of him.
Well: They throw him into a deep well; a caravan rescues him and sells him in Egypt.
Temptation: The wife of his master tries to seduce him, but he resists for the sake of Allah.
Prison: False accusations lead him to prison, where he interprets dreams.
Rise to Power: The king hears of his gift and makes him in charge of Egypt’s treasures.
Reunion: During famine, his brothers come to Egypt; he forgives them despite their past.
Fulfilment of the Dream: His parents and brothers bow to him in respect — the dream comes true.

Reflection:
Surah Yusuf is a divine mirror showing how pain, patience, and purpose intertwine in the journey of a believer. It teaches that betrayal by those closest to you can be part of Allah’s plan to elevate you. It reminds us that even when we are thrown into the “well” of life’s problems, Allah is already sending the caravan of relief. Yusuf’s refusal to sin, even when no one was watching, shows that true honour lies in fearing Allah, not in seeking people’s approval
The years in prison show that delays are not denials — sometimes Allah keeps you in hardship to prepare you for something greater. And when power is finally given, Yusuf does not seek revenge but forgiveness. His words “No blame upon you today” echo the mercy of our Prophet Muhammad ﷺ in Makkah after conquest.
This surah whispers to every broken heart: Do not rush Allah’s plan. The well, the prison, the palace — each is a step toward your destiny. What looks like a loss today may be the very path to your greatest victory.
