Описание: The government has released another ₹2,000 crore towards pending dues for current and retired employees. Earlier, under pressure from employee unions and following strong displeasure expressed by the High Court over pending arrears, the government had promised to release ₹6,000 crore within 100 days. Following the first installment of ₹2,000 crore released on the 29th of last month, the Finance Department has now disbursed a second tranche of equal amount. The government stated that GPF arrears for retired employees and district panchayat teachers have been fully cleared, along with all commutation dues pending up to September of last year. Additionally, bills under ₹10,000 for approximately five lakh employees have been settled, with the Finance Department assuring that the remaining dues will be cleared in a systematic manner.
