Описание: It’s been one year since I lost my mother. I’ve tried my best not to be over dramatic about the whole thing. Some days weren’t so good for me but I feel fortunate that a lot of days I had so much to keep me busy. In some ways, even when I tried to cool down and take a needed break, life dictated that I had to keep going. Things to clean up; people I didn’t want to let down. A majority of the time, I’ve been fine. It’s just this week that I dreaded cuz who knows what could happen? It’s probably really unhealthy to even make art out of this right now but I knew if I didn’t do this, I’d regret it for the rest of my life. That’s been the biggest takeaway from all of this: No More Regrets. No more wasted time. No more bowing down to make some other schmuck happy while you have to continually sacrifice. Anyway, I think I can proudly say I lived life to the fullest this past year, more than any other. I’m a part of a lot of special things now; too many to list here. I’m very lucky to have friends that care. They’re kind and respectful and exactly the energy you want to be around to keep living your best life.

This song, “In A Dream,” by Badlands, was always my mother’s favorite performance of mine. I told her that I’d sing this whenever she passed and I did just that. I’m not looking for perfection with this work. I simply enjoy getting it out there, for myself. In this case, I put it out for her too cuz I knew she would appreciate it. I think I’ve made her proud this past year and I don’t have any intention of letting her down now. Love you, mom. 💙
