(Truly HELLFIRE AT545!) Preserved Wilts & Dorset Optare Solo: X687 XJT

Описание: Back in May 2024, An Exercise In Oddity hosted the Recreating The Wilts And Dorset event - Featuring various Wilts And Dorset (and related) vehicles on a route between Amesbury and Marlborough in Wiltshire.

My second spin of the day, Was this fantastic Solo - Which was new to the company in December 2000 as their 2687. Following the purchase of the company in 2003 by Go Ahead, and then the split into Salisbury Reds and Morebus in 2012, it moved over to sister company Damory Coaches (Then branded as Tourist Coaches) in 2009 just before that happened. It became 3687 under the new numbering system in 2015, Amazingly lasting in service all the way until Summer 2021, at well over 20 years old.

It was purchased into preservation shortly after that, and was slowly restored over 2022 and 2023, Finished off with a full restoration into it's appearance as new by Lee Hobson / Decal Central. It's been a regular appearance at rallies across The South West ever since!
