Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC) has announced important notifications regarding the admission procedure and policies of public and private sector Medical and Dental Colleges of Pakistan. Previously, Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC) issued a notification about the admission process of public and private medical and dental colleges for the session 2022. According to the notification, the students must have passed MDCAT with minimum 65% marks and FSc Pre-Medical or equivalent qualification with at least 65% marks in order to apply for admission. All the public medical colleges are to complete the admissions by 10 January, 2022 and private medical colleges by 30 January, 2022.
Private medical colleges shall upload one Final Merit List of all applicants for the admission. This merit list shall be updated on the daily basis. The students shall also be granted the PMC National Scholarship. Special provision shall be given to the students with delayed FSc and A-Level result. These students can submit their result by 10 February, 2022.
PMC has also specified the protocols and policies for the interviews to be conducted by the private medical and dental colleges. Recently, PMC has issued an important notification through which it has set a maximum limit for the annual tuition fee as per the grades given to the colleges by PMC and PMDC. The private medical and dental colleges cannot charge per year tuition fee more than the specified limit set by PMC in the official notification.
