In this video I do the saddlesore 1000 challenge or for me, I go through the Ride1kinaday organization. I choose Ride1k because I like the patches and artwork they have on all of their merchandise. Ultimately, anyone can do the challenge without getting it certified by an organization. This ride was amazing for my mental health, and I really encourage anyone to attempt it. People grow most in times of challenge and when they push beyond their comfort zones. Riding 1000 miles in a day is challenging but overly not that hard. It really comes down to planning your route along a major interstate, leaving early in the morning to give yourself time, but also being able to ride all available sunlight hours. When the the sun is down, it is substantially more dangerous and difficult to ride a motorcycle.
