Yates Mill was built in the 1750s by Samuel Pearson. The mill changed ownership many times and today remains the only water powered grist mill still in operating condition in Wake County, North Carolina. The mill is preserved on a 174 acre park owned by N.C. State University and managed through a partnership of various public and private entities. Numerous recreational and educational opportunities are offered here. Thanks for watching!
