New York: Nassau County Executive *Bruce Blakeman* addressed residents during his second inauguration, outlining his administration’s priorities while emphasizing unity, respect, and service to all communities across the county.

In his address, Blakeman thanked his team, county staff, and partner agencies, including the Nassau County Police Department, fire departments, and other county employees, praising their dedication and commitment to public service. He stressed that Nassau County’s strength lies in its diversity and said decisions under his leadership would be guided by what is best for residents, regardless of political affiliation.

Highlighting achievements from his previous term, Blakeman cited strong support for law enforcement, including the hiring of 600 professionals, the cancellation of a proposed $150 million tax increase, and maintaining stable taxes for four consecutive years. He also pointed to seven bond rating upgrades as evidence of improved fiscal health.

The county executive said his administration remains focused on economic growth, positioning Nassau County as a premier place to live, work, and raise families. He underscored the importance of listening to constituents, especially young people, sharing an example of a girls’ soccer team that successfully advocated for safety and fairness measures.

Blakeman also reaffirmed his commitment to protecting religious freedom and spoke openly about the role of faith in his life. On immigration, he reiterated support for legal immigration processes and emphasized that Nassau County is not a sanctuary county.

Concluding his remarks, Blakeman expressed deep pride in and love for Nassau County, pledging continued service to its residents. The ceremony concluded with the signing of a measure related to protest restrictions.
