The equal division of the octave is the equivalent of the 1/3-comma meantone tuning of the renaissance: the comma 81:80 is subtracted from the fifth 3:2 in 3 steps (e.g. G-D-A-E), so that the interval E-G or 6:5 (major-third to fifth) is nearly just, and both ca. 8 cents flat in relation to the fundamental (C in this example).
Bachs f-minor 3 part-sinfonia is one of the composers most chromatic pieces, illustrating well the character of 19-EDO.
The recording was made employing commercial sampled virtual instruments.
