The 2001 Brazilian GP saw Minardi driver Tarso Marques crossing the checkered flag in 9th position (which will be the team best finish), scoring the team first top-10 of the season while being also the only brazilian driver to complete the race. That event was celebrated by the team after the race by popping and spraying champagne in the team box after the race.
