This podium has saved my back! Join me today for a quick10 minute tutorial about how to make a podium also known as a lectern. I'm at my desk so much running my business and editing videos that my back takes a beating! My husband has a professional adjustable desk in his office so I was wondering if we could create a much lesser expensive alternative for me. My solution was to build an adjustable podium! My genius hubby took my idea and executed it beautifully! If I'm editing videos, checking emails, or I'm posting on social media, using the podium gives my back much relief! An interesting tidbit I learned while under chiropractic care years ago is that sitting puts up to 185 pounds of pressure on the spine compared to 100 pounds of pressure while standing. Isn't that amazing? Not only is standing better for the back, it also increases circulation. It's best to balance the two. My productivity improves when my pain and discomfort is relieved and circulation improved! Another good reason for a podium is to help you Moms who homeschool. So many of you are homeschooling these days and not all necessarily by choice. A podium would be a great idea for your home classroom! You could even make a smaller one (child-size) to make classroom learning that much more fun! The kiddos could even pretend sometimes that they're the teacher! Did you know that teaching reinforces learning? For kids that may struggle a bit, you may want to give this a try (been there done that). You certainly don't need a podium to do so but role playing with props adds to the excitement of learning! Podiums are also of great use at church and for general office use. I hope you enjoy this short video and even get some inspiration. If so, please let me know in the comments below. I'd love to hear from you and how it's working out. If you're unclear of any of the instructions, let me know and I'll be glad to clarify. Thanks so much for watching! If you're new to my channel, welcome.
