The Wash is one of the most outstanding coastal areas in Europe, with its bleak, yet beautiful landscape of saltmarshes, mudflats, and open water. Measuring 15 miles long and 12 miles wide, the area is a valuable refuge for an impressive 350,000 wintering waders and waterfowl.
In this video, we explore two of the most accessible areas along The Wash: the world famous Gibralter Point National Nature Reserve in Lincolnshire and the Snettisham RSPB reserve along the west coast of Norfolk.
