This video was filmed 4 days before Timbertown closed forever, capturing the park during its final week while it was still busy with families, visitors, and staff keeping everything running.
The atmosphere on the day was full of movement and energy. Trains were constantly running through the park, the tractor and carriage made its way around the streets, and the exhibitions were open and active as people explored the buildings, workshops, and displays one last time.
Timbertown was a living history park in Wauchope NSW, recreating life in an Australian timber town from the late 1800s. For decades it was a place where school groups, families, and visitors could experience steam trains, heritage buildings, trades, and storytelling that brought regional history to life.
The site is now expected to be re zoned, with future use likely to include a housing estate or a caravan park.
