Two consecutive laps of El Hippo at Dyfi Bike Park in April 2024. We weren't planning to ride this, so I hadn't watched any videos beforehand and just had a vague recollection that it looked doable. It was, but as usual you can't tell from POV video that it's pretty damn steep, especially that long final chute before it merges with 50 Hits.
To my surprise, I wasn't that fazed by the gradient. It's a really fun trail and a new favourite. If you can comfortably handle Turns in the Ferns, you should be to get down El Hippo, and I recommend having a go.
