January has continued to be a busy month with multiple projects and improvements happening in and around our new winter turnout. From installing a much needed hot wire to keep the minis from grazing between the bottom two fence boards, to digging our trench and laying water and electric lines to the front barn, we’ve taken advantage of the fair weather in the first part of January.
Lady, Rockstar and Shenanigans are still very happy in their new winter turnout, and because they have done so well on this grass, and because the grass has already been grazed a bit low, they are now getting to go out and graze in the neighboring field for a few hours each day. This is something they really look forward to, and I am happy to report they are all very good about returning to the smaller paddock for their evening feeding and overnight hours. I am so pleased with how well they are doing!
