Man has this been a real adventure. This is my first real venture into the world of audio production, mixing and mastering. I can't tell you how many hours this piece took between composing, improvising, and learning basic mixing and mastering techniques. I'm really quite proud of how this all turned out. It's still far from professional sounding, and I don't have the best equipment/software, but this is SO far from where I started when I first came up with the idea to do this 6 or 7 months ago. I've also been juggling this with my first semester in college, so it's all been a crazy roller coaster.

You'll notice that this "recreation" is through-composed, meaning that not a single phrase or idea of music is repeated. I tried coming up with different variations on the main motif (the first melody of the original work, especially the first four notes), with the epic fugue introduced in the middle. As such, the remix reaches a variety of styles and textures, all intertwined by a common melody. I took this route as it was more exciting for me to come up with a large variety ideas, rather than focusing on just one. You can be the judge as to whether you like it or not, but I feel the sporadic changes in texture keep it exciting and full of momentum. I really hope you all enjoy, as this was really a blast to put together. Can't wait for Fates to finally hit North America, for which you might be seeing a new remix from.
