In this episode I provide the history of the Ford Escort as it was sold in North America, a car intended to right the wrongs of the Ford Pinto. The Escort was originally designed in Europe and was intended to be a "world car", but the car that the U.S. and Canada got was much different than what was sold in Europe and elsewhere around the world. The Escort also spawned a two-seater version called the EXP, and of course clones from Mercury called the LN7, Lynx and Tracer.
