History is written by the winners, but theology is edited by the survivors. For the first 300 years of Christianity, there wasn't one Bible—there was a chaotic marketplace of scrolls. Some claimed Jesus was a ghost. Some described Hell with graphic violence. Others claimed Judas was the hero.
