It had been 1,120 days since F1® had been in Melbourne and we were always planning to welcome it back in style.

To all the people that helped make this event, the Formula 1® Heineken® Australian Grand Prix 2022 one for the record books... All we can say is thank you.

From the teams that had spent tens of thousands of hours modifying the track to improve racing, to the team at iEDM who built the Albert Park we saw on television screens around the world, to all of the Australian Grand Prix Corporation staff, contractors, exhibitors, teams, divers, volunteers and most importantly, the 419,114 fans that walked through the Albert Park gates, thank you.

This event will be one that lives on in F1® folklore and every single one of those aforementioned people played a part in the 2022 race one we'll be talking about for years to come.
