Produced by Italian DJ/producer Ben Benassi and his cousin Ale Benassi.
“Satisfaction” is considered by many to be the forerunner of Electro House and was instrumental in bringing it to the mainstream.
It is also Benny Benassi’s most successful chart single.
Ale came up with the rough melody while he overheard horns in traffic a traffic jam.
He played it for Benny and they started the creation process.
They experimented with compression and ended up doing a soundchain effect which was not very common at the time.
A soundchain is that you have on one sound that is triggered by the level of another sound.
Their first rough version did not have any vocals so they ended up using MacinTalk for the vocals… both a male and female version.
While many remixes have been made, there is something about the original version that stands the test of time.
