On an assignment away from the VW Beetle, i travel south approx. 6 hours drive to refurbish a big baler machine. This machine crushers the metal into a box shape. I eat skate for the first time. I walk the back streets of Ramsgate.

I had the privilege of growing up on a farm. This gave me the opportunity to explore and discover how much I love to work with cars. This was from the early age of eight years old!
My initial training was a panel-beater and after my apprenticeship I worked as a maintenance fitter in the outback of Western Australia in Gold and nickel mines.
6 Hour drive to work
I carried on my career in various guises as a welder from TIG, MIG and OXY to programming robots to weld hard-face. That includes solid wire and flux core wire.
I also worked at Ford manufacturing in Geelong, Australia and spent many years as a toolmaker.
I now have the opportunity to work on what I really love - that is detailed restoration on cars. The last few years I have fully renovated houses from re-stumping to total kitchen bathroom fitouts. These are the things I really love and now I am doing them full time. I am living the dream! It takes more than… just a few dollars!
Aussie VW Beetle builder I am an Australian man living in the UK and I've added an extra garage on my property to cater for the Body off restoration VOLKSWAGEN VW beetle 1972. One garage has the body of the Volkswagen beetle at the moment and the garage has the chassis. Hopefully in 3 months I wish to have the body reunited with the chassis. Some are super professional and others sometimes fall short. for example buying from a website direct can be a let down as there's no obligation from the companies to allow you to send back returns but buying from Ebay does have advantages. Ebay has a great reputation holding the sellers to account through buyer review ratings. One exception was Custom and Commercial.
