To remove the Kohler flush valve canister:
1) turn off the water to the tank
2) flush the toilet
3) Remove excess water from tank
4) Disconnect the chain from flush valve cylinder / canister
5) Remove 3 bots from bottom of tank and remove the tank
6) With the tank upside down, remove plastic nut from bottom of flush valve canister

To install the new canister, reverse the above procedure.

To remove the Kohler fill valve:
1) with tank water removed, unscrew nut from underside of the toilet tank and pull out the fill valve.
