We arrived early to make the most of our Premium Ticket.
Important to note: even with a Premium Ticket, you still have a designated time slot for entering the Ghibli's Grand Warehouse. (Ours was at 10 AM.)
Everything else — except the first area you choose to enter — can be visited freely throughout the day.
Our first stop was the Hill of Youth, inspired by Whisper of the Heart and The Cat Returns. The quiet music, morning light, and peaceful streets felt just like walking into a gentle Ghibli opening scene.

🇫🇷 Valley of Witches — A European Dream Inside Japan
Next, we explored the Valley of Witches, which feels like a small French town beautifully brought to life. Here’s a breakdown of the magical attractions:
🏰 Howl’s Moving Castle: The life-size castle is unbelievably detailed. When the smoke starts puffing and the mechanical sound effects begin, it genuinely feels like the castle is about to walk away!
🎩 Hatter’s Hat Shop (Sophie’s Workplace): A charming recreation from the film, representing Sophie’s original world before she meets Howl.
🧙‍♂️ Howl’s Magical Interior Rooms: These rooms are designed to feel like Howl’s private living space — filled with potions, spell books, charms, and magical clutter.
🍞 Guchokipanya Bakery (Kiki’s Delivery Service): Yes, we stopped by the bakery! The famous Kiki bread was already cold and a bit hardened… but it tasted way better than it looks! 😂
🏡 The Okino Residence: A full recreation of Kiki’s family home, complete with tiny details that make it feel alive.

🎟️ 10 AM — Entry to the Grand Warehouse (Premium Ticket)
This is the heart of Ghibli Park — magical, nostalgic, and full of surprises.
Just remember: you must enter within one hour of your assigned time slot.
First mission: Queue for the No-Face photo op.
📸 Tip: If you see a queue, just join it. In Ghibli Park, every queue leads to another queue — but it’s worth it for the photos!
After waiting about an hour, we got our No-Face photo and went straight to the exclusive 14-minute short film:

A Totoro universe short that you can only watch inside Ghibli Park's cinema. Absolutely adorable!

⛩️ Dondoko Forest — Satsuki & Mei’s House (Premium Ticket Only)
Another highlight unlocked by the Premium Ticket is entry into Satsuki & Mei’s House, located in the Dondoko Forest area.
It’s a PERFECT recreation from My Neighbor Totoro. Every drawer, cup, shoe, and tiny household item is exactly like the film. You really feel like Totoro could appear at any moment.
