A piece of sycamore from a local tree.
This log had been sitting for 3 years, so was nice and dry, but had a couple of cracks that I hoped would go way, but didn't. I used the method of adding copper wire to secure and make a feature of the crack. I think that it works quite well and I'm happy with it.
The finished bowl measures 240mm x 100mm (9 1/2" x 4")
