CATWEAZLE was a children's fantasy drama written and created by Richard Carpenter, consisting of 26 episodes across two seasons. It originally aired on the ITV Network between 15 February 1970 and 4 April 1971.

The series follows Catweazle, an eccentric 11th-century wizard who accidentally transports himself to the 20th century. There, he encounters the strange and "magical" wonders of modern life — particularly his beloved "Elec-trickery" — leading to humorous and heartwarming adventures.

Season 2 was filmed mainly around the Bayford / Brickendon area of Hertfordshire during 1970.
