Описание: The sixth lava eruption in 2024 at Sundhnúkagígar (Sundhnuka-craters) at Reykjanes peninsula, Iceland. It started on Nov, 20th 2024, late evening, so this is on the first daylight of the eruption on Nov, 21st 2024. The weather was calm but freezing -9 °C so the drone batteries did not last long. Standing 6 km away from the eruption it was challenging to get good shots. The autofocus of the drone's camera got confused when following the lave river so I had to do with less than I wanted to film. On its way back the drone ran out of battery and made an emergency landing in a moss grown lava. By using the last sent gps-coordinates that the drone sent to the remote control, I was able to find it. A nice security feature. Enjoy!
