Trying out Replit Agent

Описание: Over the holidays, I tried out Replit Agent—an AI agent that generates code for app building! 🎉

*Key takeaway:* Great for simple apps or demos, but requires more back and forth to build complex apps.

*What I loved:*

1️⃣ Super easy onboarding - product managers, take notes! It displays its work transparently, even asking you to verify after implementing features!

2️⃣ Cost transparency is a bonus, plus it's a stellar addition to Replit's platform; write code then deploy seamlessly.

*Now for the downsides:*

1️⃣ Be precise in your prompts! I started with an overly broad prompt which led to unnecessarily verbose code that was hard to debug.

2️⃣ Struggles with external APIs—when provided with documentation, it didn't necessarily follow that documentation, and I could have written the code faster myself rather than debugging what it wrote.

⚠️ Watch out for bugs too; sometimes it gets stuck on tasks without an exit option!

My personal suggestions when using Replit Agent - start small or build incrementally—it’ll save you future headaches!

Overall? I'm truly impressed. This tool is only going to get better from here! 🌟
