Wada-juku is the 28th post town along the historic Nakasendō, a highway connecting Edo (Tokyo) and Kyoto during the Edo period.
Nestled at the foot of the steep Wada Pass, this town once bustled with travelers, inns, and merchants. Passing through here was one of the most challenging parts of the journey, but also a place full of history and atmosphere.
