PDO, or polydioxanone, threads are dissolvable sutures that are carefully placed underneath the skin. Over time, they can produce collagen to lift and tighten your skin.

Goodman uses tumescent numbing, where the anesthetic is injected under the skin, rather than topical numbing. During the treatment, she uses a non-threaded cannula, which makes it easier for her to manually add and position the thread inside the skin. Risks with PDO threads include the thread breaking, bunching, or showing underneath the skin. Treatments at GoodSkin begin at $1,200.
