Hotline Marksman is a playable boss in the typical colors 2 community server morebosses.tc
Playing as Hotline Marksman:
This boss is designed as a close-range pressure boss that relies on positioning, fear control, and burst movement rather than sustained fire.
Close the distance deliberately.
With a Lever Shotgun and limited ammo (6 shots, no reserve), every shot matters. Avoid long chases—use cover and corners to force enemies into tight spaces where the shotgun is most effective.
Abuse Scare mechanics.
Scare affects both players and buildings, with a moderate range. Use Scare to disrupt sentry setups and scatter grouped enemies before pushing in. This is especially effective against defensive holds.
Playing Against Hotline Marksman:
This boss excels up close but struggles with attrition and range control.
Keep your distance.
The boss has no secondary weapon and relies entirely on shotgun damage. Classes that can pressure from mid to long range should avoid tight corridors.
