I did my first desert race in Lucerne valley 3 years ago. It scared me shitless but was the best damn time I ever flopped about in a car. Ever since that first journey, the desert has always meant one thing - freedom. No matter the type of car, class, win or lose, this racing team will always be a tool to escape my everyday life and transport to a world where you must be present and hyper focused if you want to stay alive. As our days get filled with ever growing busy-ness, I find our time in this vast desert more and more important. It’s a beautiful experience to be so closely rooted in earths ever changing momentum while you grapple with your innermost thoughts. An experience that’s limited to those that go looking for it. Feeling grateful for the people and experiences that are in this life.
