In this episode, I continue exploring classic and forgotten MS-DOS games through online archives, opening random titles to see which ones still work—and which ones absolutely refuse to cooperate.
I start with Mega Man 3, but the game never gets past the first company logo and refuses to load properly, so I’m forced to abandon it almost immediately.
Next, I move on to Operation Frog, an unusual educational MS-DOS program that presents itself as a virtual frog dissection experience. While waiting for another game to download, I explore this curious piece of early educational software preserved in the archives.
While Destruction Derby 2 is downloading, I load up Wizardry I: Proving Grounds of the Mad Overlord, one of the most influential early role-playing games on PC. After navigating through a long series of menus and character creation options, I realise time is ticking and decide to move on before the adventure truly begins.
Once ready, I finally jump into Destruction Derby 2, a chaotic car destruction racing game where survival is optional. My car gets completely destroyed in no time, but that’s kind of the whole point.
To wrap things up, I try Lurking Horror, which turns out to be a text-based interactive horror game. With only a few minutes left, I give it a quick look, say bye bye, and end the episode.
This video is part of my ongoing series where I dig through internet archives, exploring old MS-DOS games, forgotten PC software, and digital media, experiencing them exactly as they are today—bugs, broken starts, confusion, and all.
