That aside, though, I’m absolutely hyped to get this video out! As potentially my final full-length flipping video, this one has been in the making since mid-July (aka basically immediately after I released MFTS4), and tbh, was quite a bit harder than I thought to make! This was because, keeping in mind the fact that I wanted to go out on a bang, I decided to try (for my first ever time) to make every shot in the video with a consistent, daytime lighting to make the quality as high as possible. So, during the early stages of this vid, I focused on trying to score some of the more time-consuming shots (such as numbers 8-10, 39, 48, 49, etc.) while I had extra time to film over the summer, as well as longer-lasting daylight. Then, once school started, I slowly knocked out the remaining shots at a pace of about 3 or 4 per filming session, but sometimes less if I was filming after school. This went on for a couple months, and after making a few changes to the original list of ideas, I was finally done and ready to edit the video around the start of November. However, that was where I somewhat hit a roadblock. At that point, I hadn’t really planned out how I wanted to approach introducing the video (and just getting it into its general flow), but I wanted the editing to be just as good as the shots, so I did a bit of internet surfing for clever intro ideas. Luckily, I was able to find an easy solution pretty quickly thanks to That’s Amazing’s “Trick Shots, But the Targets Get Smaller” vid from 2020, which fit practically perfectly with the clips I had already taken for this video. Additionally, I know you guys are totally gonna think I was copying them, but I ended up using the same song that they did in that video too. However, I can say with 100% honesty that THAT part was a coincidence, cuz the point in which I picked the song for this vid was actually almost right after I scored the impossible number 50. So, despite a bit of conflict towards the end of this video’s production, I am proud to say it’s finally here!
