Adventure mode is supposedly a unique take on the original Legend of Zelda's NES map. This mode takes the 128 squares in that game, and converts each of them into an individual battle field. You clear battles on each square to unlock adjacent squares.
Each square will have individual battles that are divided between Adventure Maps or Challenge Maps. Adventure maps are full-scale battlefields where you capture keeps, find treasure chests and defeat an enemy commander. Challenge Maps are usually short and require a more singular task such as defeating a specific number of enemies, or defeating the correct foe, defeating enemy captains when everything dies in one hit, etc.
Each section of the map is given a color that is correlative to it's difficulty. You also need to complete certain stages in Legend Mode to unlock the colored tiles. Once you have cleared an adjacent square to a section, the entire block will unlock. You can unlock up to three squares at a time save for when you are next to a border (squiggly lines).
When you clear a few battles, item cards will start showing up. You need Item Cards to unlock rewards for specific maps, reveal hidden enemies, or open up a new pathway on the Adventure Map. Using Item Cards will have your 8-bit character sprite perform actions on the screen. Bit of a shame Adventure Mode didn't play like the NES game directly...
It all seems complex at first, but Proxi will nag the heck out of you to get started. One key thing to keep in mind with this mode is that every battle has a rank and each square has a rank requirement to open. You can get an A, B, or C rank in their respective Gold, Silver and Bronze colors depending on Number of Enemies you defeated, Time and amount of damage you took. What sucks about this is that to get an A-rank on the square, you have to meet the A-rank requirement for all three items. Getting A for Time and KOs, but B for Damage gives you an overall B rank (which should NOT be the case when you average, but maybe they thought it would be too easy otherwise? I dunno!)
It goes without saying that this is the mode you will be spending the most time on. This is the only way to obtain Lv. 3 weapons for everybody and eventually unlock 4 new characters, in addition to certain skills. There are Skulltulas also found on various squares on this mode too.
This will be one long ride. I'm dragging Danzonator into this for a good portion of time so this won't be too bad. Also, how do people categorize the map co-ordinates in this mode? I keep thinking I know what square you start on is H8, but I never bothered co-ordinates for this. H8, G8, G9? I think that's right...
Three battles are cleared in this map, one that unlocks a new weapon for Impa. Also, any trips made to the Bazaar have been skipped.
Повторяем попытку...
