A wave of forest fires broke out in Portugal in the past few days. It's a terrible thing and the entire country is fighting it still. On the good side we get to see the amazing piston powered Canadair CL-215 as close as possible to action.
I ran to the closest water reservoir where they were scooping water to get a chance to capture these working flying pieces of history in action.
At the evening the fire luckily got controlled and the Canadairs probably were sent to other fires (there were lot's of them) and two Firebosses came assisting the ground firefighters.
Enjoy the captures! Use headphones to experience the sound at the best level. Unfortunately I can't transmit the vibration of the air that these engines make, but the recording is good :)
