Bram Stoker's Dracula Playthrough (SEGA GENESIS/MEGA DRIVE)

Описание: Remember finding this game at a garage sale many years ago when I was 8 yrs old and at the time I was just discovering all the old Universal Monster movies through the Crestwood Monster books and was really starting to love the story of Dracula in particular, both the Universal movie and the actual story in the novel. At about the same time I was also discovering Castlevania and it just kept on feeding my growing fascination with old gothic horror movies and the like. Well after seeing this for sale for $10 complete in box I could not say no. So I ended up walking away with it along X-men (we'll get to that one one day I'm sure...) and I could not wait to get home and play it. Well I took to it instantly...I LOVED this game as a kid and would play it almost daily at one point in my efforts to get further and beat it and see the ending. My dad filled me in that it was actually based on the movies that came out a while back as well, and while I was far too young to watch it at the time at least I had the game to occupy my efforts. I just loved the spooky atmosphere that certain levels had...the castle dungeon all filled with fog really comes to mind. And being chased by Dracula's Wives used to really put me on edge since I knew that one touch was instant death more or less and their half cackles/croaks I used to find rather creepy and unsettling to my little imagination at the time. I also would inevitably end up playing the game hardcore around Halloween time as well and then my friends and I would go out into our neighborhood and play our own little version of Dracula and pretend to hunt each other down and stake each other with sticks whilst hiding among our yard's that were all done up and decorated for Halloween and this game provided my imagination at the time with the perfect amount of inspiration. While some of the controls are rather stiff, the difficulty a bit unbalanced and few of the bosses rather lackluster I still LOVE this game regardless. I did find the SNES copy/port of it a few years later as well. I found that version a little easier in ways but upon replaying both versions I find myself enjoying this one more for some reason. I find the music FAR better oddly and I think that the game is also easier in a way as well. Could just be that I'm more accustomed to this one as well. This game holds a TON of nostalgia for me and is packed with a lot of really wonderful memories of playing it after school and then doing the whole pretend play with my friends around Halloween. And for many years afterwards its remained a staple game that I end up playing around that holiday and its stayed that way for the last 20 yrs. I still highly enjoy the game and I always look forward to playing it around Halloween or whenever the mood strikes me. Its worth picking up and giving it a try if you find a decently priced copy since they aren't to pricey at all. Very decent and forgotten game! Was done on an actual cartridge as well.
