The tracks on this set are no joke—they are songs for slamming beers and kissing strangers, all done whilst clad in flannel and oversized wayfarers. This was the energetic (and occasionally obnoxious) sound of my formative years that sounds both dated and timeless to me—to mark the ocassion of opening for my friend DJ STEPDAD at Baby’s All Right (and given the venue’s history in the NYC indie / bloghouse scene) it only seemed appropriate to put together a true indie house party playlist to mark the occasion.
