Founded in 2002, Wisconsin Robotics proudly represents the students of the University Wisconsin-Madison in the pursuit of advanced robotics. Team members design, test, and implement autonomous and remotely operated systems for national and international competitions as well as for practical applications with the goal of furthering the field of robotics, educating the public, and developing skills in engineering and project management to be carried forward into students’ professional careers. In addition to competitions Wisconsin Robotics participates in outreach events across campus and the Madison area. In the past the team has presented at or provided assistance to such events as the Wisconsin Science Festival, the University of Wisconsin-Madison College of Engineering Expo, FIRST competitions, as well as meeting with students in local Madison schools to foster an interest in robotics.
