This is the story of a solo 4x4 camping trip to Hagerman Pass, one of the most rugged and remote trails in Colorado. Sitting at 11,925 feet above sea level, this Continental Divide crossing isn’t just a geographical landmark — it’s a spiritual threshold.

From Collbran to Twin Lakes, through steep switchbacks, alpine lakes, and jagged ridgelines, I followed a path not just through the mountains… but into the unknown. Along the way, I camped under a sky full of stars, gathered firewood in thin mountain air, and had a spiritual encounter that changed me.
