About Guest Speakers:
Amrit has many parallel careers, passions, and lives, and each he breathes deeply. A chef, adventurer, explorer, climber, endurance athlete, outdoors guide and trainer, open water swimmer, and search and rescue pro, amongst other. The home accordingly, as he flits between Kerala, Bangalore, and the Himalayas on a regular basis.
Suma, climbing since the 1990s, continuing do so, is also a living legacy of Bangalore’s rich climbing history. A chemist by training, with a career in sustainable water management, she balances a world when pursuing outdoors. Amongst the first podium finishers in India's early climbing competitions, she also enjoys ultra running, long-distance cycling, swimming, and trekking. (Btw... she also swam the Palk Strait!!). We anchor atop the shoulders of the likes of her, and her generation, who opened the early routes and developed the local climbing tradition.
