Reporter Live: Sambalpur to Get 24×7 Safe Drinking Water | CM Mohan Majhi Lays Foundation

Описание: The Chief Minister of Odisha, Mohan Charan Majhi, has laid the foundation for a massive water supply project in Sambalpur worth ₹451.24 crore, aiming to provide 24×7 safe drinking water to residents of the city.

Under this project:

Approximately 340 km of water pipelines will be laid across Sambalpur city.

Construction of one intake well and two modern water treatment plants is planned.

The project is part of the Central Government’s AMRUT 2.0 initiative, under the “Drink from Tap” scheme, allowing residents to access safe water directly from taps without additional filtration.

CM Majhi highlighted that this project will bring a qualitative improvement in the living standards of Sambalpur citizens by ensuring clean and safe drinking water.
