When Charlie Parker said "learn your instrument, learn music, then forget it all and just play" I take this to mean that it's important to embody musical ideas and how they apply to your instrument. Embodiment meaning that you know it so well that it becomes part of you and in turn comes out in your music. This of course, takes time. This video looks at a few practical ways to work towards embodying chord scales so that they become fully integrated in your playing.
